We helped Standard Life re-design its group remuneration policy at a time of significant corporate change. Its new policy supported the corporate goals in the run up to the Standard Life plc IPO and seamlessly transformed itself once quoted shares became available as an incentive currency. A key feature was the innovative use of return on embedded value (an important indicator of the company’s longer term performance) as a vesting condition.
